Lithuanian Innovation Agency to invest in Rockit acceleration program for fintech startups

The Lithuanian Innovation Agency will invest in an acceleration program Rockit for startups from Kaunas and Klaipėda. The accelerator will accept at least 60 new fintech startups into the program between 2024 and 2026. It will focus on supporting artificial intelligence-based companies, fintech, blockchain, energy, the Internet of Things, and smart transport systems startups.

During the program, the entrepreneurs will work with mentors, investors, and experts from Lithuanian and foreign companies, prepare to raise investments, and start bringing their solutions to the market.

Founded in Vilnius in 2016 by the British bank Barclays, Rockit operated under the name Rise Vilnius until 2019. It then changed its name to Rockit. The CEO of Rockit is Lina Žeimaitytė-Kirkman. Rockit has launched several acceleration programs, including the Rockit Impact program in 2021.

The Lithuanian Innovation Agency is a non-profit agency under the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and Innovation. It manages various types of business support measures with a total value of more than €500M over the next few years.
